Tragically, world-renown painters that we now observe their work of arts in awe, are only recognized after their demise. Meaning the value of the art and the artist is only respected and appreciated posthumously. Individuals like Galileo Galilei, Claude Monet, John Keats, Emily Dickinson their artworks and literature were never heard of until they left this world. One such incredible individual is Vincent Willem van Gogh or now commonly known as Vincent van Gogh.

The Dutch Post-Impressionist artist although had the creativity and the talent with his way of colours and his unique type of brush strokes to his arts called the ‘impasto’ however, he sold only one painting during his lifetime.

The most famous work of Vincent is the ‘Starry Night’ and ‘Portrait of Self’ both painted in 1889. However, what many do not know is Vincent suffered from anxiety, depression and mental disorder and later died at the young age of 37 apparently by suicide. Since then his works of art and the letters he exchanged with his brother Theo and his sister Willemien have been highly valued and protected.

Becoming For You values such artist and has started selling a premium Vincent van Gogh sweater recently. This vintage styled sweater is handpicked by our team so that our valuable customers can wear the art itself warmly and proudly.

The Sweater is a light beige colour with strips of brown and mustard yellow on the ends of the sleeves and the hem area. The sweater is extremely warm and definitely brings out the authenticity of the person wearing it.

The Sweater when it comes to detail has a various list of paintings and its years respectively that Van Gogh had painted. Such of the listed paintings on the sweater are; The Potato Eaters (1885), Harvest Scene (1888), Starry Night (1889), Night Cafe (1888) and Cypress (1889). Did you know Van Gogh was considered a mediocre artist when he started out? But that he taught himself to paint by just doing it day after day after day. He once said, “if you hear a voice within you say ‘you cannot paint,’ then by all means paint and that voice will be silenced.”
